I haven’t joined July 1st March after 2003 and 2004. This year the HK government managed to irritate me (and thousands of HK citizens) again to such an extent that so many people went and joined the march this year.
I have posted this on weibo (i.e.微博 = mainland China twitter) when I was marching on July 1st.
I have never got more forwarding before than on that day, so many people from the mainland “retweet” my post about our march on July 1st. And I also got some positive comments, like the following. However, most of them were retweets without comments.
Some of the posts that replied saying we only went there for a celebration of our return to China @.@, obviously an attempt to 海蟹 my post.
This is an example of those comments, I can tolerate those about the nature of the celebration, but I cannot accept those saying I’m over the line just because I replied in the comment that it was not a celebration, but a protest against government policies.
When I woke up on July 2nd, I found that my post was deleted. However, I could still read the post and all the comments. I suspect only people in the mainland were blocked from it.
Some mainland people commented that Hongkongers are so brave, because we dared to go out and march against those policies. In fact, it does not take any courage to do that now. However, if we do not stand up now, we may not be able to do so later on.
